چکیده

ABSTRACT Compact hierarchical triples (CHTs) are systems with the tertiary star orbiting inner binary in an orbit shorter than 1000 d. CHT eclipsing as its can help us extract a multitude of information about all three stars system. In this study, we use independent observational techniques to estimate orbital, stellar, and atmospheric parameters two triple-lined CHT: BD+44 2258 KIC 06525196. We find that masses $1.011\pm 0.029$, $0.941\pm 0.033$, $0.907\pm 0.065 \, {\rm M}_{\odot }$ while 06525196 estimated $1.0351\pm 0.0055$, $0.9712\pm 0.0039 $, $0.777\pm 0.012 }$. Absolute dimensions of detached eclipsing binaries . I . The metallic - lined system WWAurigae

WWAurigae is a detached eclipsing binary composed of two metallic-lined A-type stars orbiting each other every 2.5 days. We have determined the masses and radii of both components to accuracies of 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively. From a cross-correlation analysis of high-resolution spectra we find masses of 1.964± 0.007M⊙ for the primary star and 1.814±0.007M⊙ for the secondary star. From an analys...

Effective temperature of detached eclipsing binaries from Hipparcos parallax

Effective temperatures of detached eclipsing binaries computed through Hipparcos trigonometric parallaxes are compared with the photometric determinations. The former are based on the values of the radius, the apparent visual magnitude and the bolometric correction of the star, whereas the latter are obtained from standard calibrations using Strömgren or Johnson colour indices. The working samp...

Direct Distances to Nearby Galaxies Using Detached Eclipsing Binaries

The DIRECT project aims to determine direct distances to two important galaxies in the cosmological distance ladder – M31 and M33 – using detached eclipsing binaries (DEBs) and Cepheids. We present the results of the first large-scale CCD-based search for variables in M33. We have observed two fields located in the central region of M33 for a total of 95 nights on the F. L. Whipple Observatory ...

HD 181068: a red giant in a triply eclipsing compact hierarchical triple system.

Hierarchical triple systems comprise a close binary and a more distant component. They are important for testing theories of star formation and of stellar evolution in the presence of nearby companions. We obtained 218 days of Kepler photometry of HD 181068 (magnitude of 7.1), supplemented by ground-based spectroscopy and interferometry, which show it to be a hierarchical triple with two types ...

Light curve solutions for bright detached eclipsing binaries in SMC: absolute dimensions and distance indicators

This paper presents a careful and detailed light curve analysis of bright detached eclipsing binaries (DEB) in the Small Magellanic Cloud, discovered by OGLE collaboration, on the basis of recently available difference image analysis (DIA) photometry. The 19 binaries brighter than 16.4 mag in I band and with the depth of primary and secondary eclipse greater than 0.25 mag were investigated. The...
